Arches National Park

After leaving Monument Valley, we continued on our journey to Arches National Park. Before reaching Arches we had one more stop left on the itinerary, Goosenecks State Park. Just passing by, we did a short hike, climbed down some pretty steep rock walls, and saw some pretty amazing views.

As we continued down the road, we began seeing arches on the roadside. We knew we weren’t far from Arches National Park, where we were about to be immersed in arches. Eyes blown.

These magnificent arches have been carved out by the wind and water for centuries. We learned that the arches will eventually collapse, because the wind and rain endlessly carving away at the rock. Some are so delicate, that they could collapse any time now.

On the road home we stopped at Four Corners, where the Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico borders meet. We were in all four states at once, the perfect ending to our adventure, and the perfect opportunity for a selfie.
