This was the first time road tripping with both of our families. We were getting married, and we wanted our families to celebrate with us, even if we had to drive to New Mexico.
Our journey started with a trip to the Santuario in Chimayo, NM. From there we went shopping in downtown Santa Fe and visited the Loretto Chapel. Our families were in heaven as they marveled at the magical, spiral staircase. That night we stayed up daring each other to drink Admiral Nelson, laughing and preparing things for our big day.
Our wedding took place in Pecos National Historical Park. It was cold and snowing in the mountains that surrounded us. We explored the park, said our I do’s and it was done! We were officially married!!! We went back to Casa Escondida, the bed and breakfast where we were staying, slipped into our pj’s and cut our cake. We celebrated until the break of dawn!
We knew we couldn’t go home without going to one of our favorite places in NM, White Sands National Monument. Our families were like children playing in the sand. It was so awesome making memories with our loved ones. It was the perfect wedding trip and we both feel like we are the luckiest girls in the world!!!.
