Terlingua was the last stop on the Big Bend winter road trip. It was New Year’s weekend and we couldn’t think of a better place to be than in a ghost town in the middle of nowwhere, aka the Big Bend Holiday Hotel
We had the whole place to ourselves. It was nice and cozy, at the top of the hill and had a beautiful view of the mountains and the eerie landscape.
Perched at the top of the hill, we had the prime spot for the firework show. Everyone was huddled by their tents and bonfires down below. We hit the town and started our celebration. The New Year was about to start and we had all the love to share & celebrate with Tina & John for their 12 monthiversary. We had so much to be grateful for, great friends, another year, life, love, and travel!
Heading home after being on the road for days is so bittersweet. There are always more adventures to be had but those are for another time.
